Join us Sunday, December 18 at 10:45am for our presentation of the children’s musical, “Dr. Newheart’s Christmas Cure.”

“When the kids come to the clinic suffering from the overkill of Christmas, Dr. Newheart diagnoses their malady as the “Christmas Day Dumps.” Through the help of the clinic staff, Drs. Fric and Frac, the “Dis”orderlies and Pink Ladies, Mildred, Maude and Ethel, the kids realize they have a heart problem that only be cured by accepting Christ.”

You may be asking, “What is a Blue Christmas Service?”

Well, there are many moments in our lives when we need comfort. There are tough times when we yearn for consolation. A Blue Christmas service is a time when we can, with others, acknowledge the “blue” feelings we have at Christmas time, the reasons for them, and offer them to God. Perhaps we are grieving over the loss of a loved one, struggling with illness, or have experienced the loss of a job. We wonder how we will get through the holidays. For some, Christmas Day is the most difficult. For others, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve, or the beginning of another lonely New Year. In this service, we’ll share in some singing appropriate to the Christmas season, recognizing that this is not a season of joy for everyone. We will invite you to reflect on the pain, the loneliness, and the sadness you may feel and offer it all to our great sign of hope, the Christ Child. We pray that you will find hope and comfort in knowing that you are not alone.

Our Blue Christmas service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 7pm.
